The NHL held its 2011 All-Star Game on Sunday in Raleigh, N.C. (It's OK if you missed it. Hockey fans don't pay much attention to you, either.) But the local connection is this: Ryan Newman took a spin around the ice on the ol' zamboni there above. No word on how it handled in the corners. But all I can say is, it's a good thing the game wasn't held in Talladega; the zamboni would've ended up upside down and in flames.
