Kevin Conway's tour of the lower-funded teams in the Sprint Cup garage continues.
Conway announced on Sirius' The Morning Drive that he (and Extenze, of course) will be with the No. 97 for Joe Nemechek's team for the Budweiser Shootout. Remember, Conway has a guaranteed ride for the race because of the new rules.
Conway will also attempt to qualify for the Daytona 500 in the No. 97, which Nemechek entered with Jeff Fuller at the wheel for superspeedway events in 2010. (Is there any irony in the fact that an Extenze sponsored driver is following a driver that used to be sponsored by Viagra? And farewell to you, Jeff Fuller's mustache.)
NEMCO Motorsports is the third team that the 2010 Rookie of the Year has driven for in the Cup Series. He started his career with Front Row Motorsports and finished 2010 driving for Robby Gordon's team.
What team do you think Conway will drive for next? And no, the From the Marbles car isn't a possibility. Busbee and I are still fighting over the driving duties.
