For the first time as a championship winning team on the Whelen Modified Tour, Mystic car owner Bob Garbarino will have his championship driver returning to defend the title.
It was announced Monday that Bobby Santos III of Franklin, Mass. will return to Garbarino's outfit to defend his 2010 Whelen Modified Tour title.
Santos, in his first full-time season in the division, delivered Garbarino his third title Whelen Modified Tour title in four years in 2010. Donny Lia won titles for Garbarino in 2007 and 2009 but left the team after each championship.
