A Little Parking Lot Battle To Start World Series Sunday Morning At A Hung Over Thompson Speedway

THOMPSON - There's something about driving into a racetrack at 9 a.m. and seeing the Saturday night zombies slowly stumbling through parking lot with beers in hand already.

The Fast Track.jpgYeah, that right there screams World Series Sunday at Thompson International Speedway.

The track is slowly coming to life here for another long day of racing. The AC/DC is blaring from midway. Nothing like a little Dirty Deeds to bring things to life here at Thompson.

It seems we're lucky we even made it in here this morning. One thing you learn about World Series Sunday, besides avoiding running over the zombies, is that parking is cut throat. The campers take up so much of the lots that it makes it kind of a strategic little mayhem finding a place to park a street vehicle.
